As a first I’d love to point to this post of mine. Next, I am gonna show you what happens, when someone is using the Gimp while bored. :lol:

The original image.

The original image.

Transformed into a cube.

Transformed into a sphere.

Transformed into a sphere.

Cylinder?  Well yes of course.

Cylinder? Well yes of course.

What gives?

What gives?

As you can see I am hardly a good graphics designer, but I learn quickly by just experimenting. ;-) Point of this post being, that although I am quite sure I’ve got what it takes to format any webpage to my liking. I am not so sure about my capabilities of creating awesome graphics like these. Eventually I’ll get there, by reading boring stuff like the online manual for the Gimp. :-)

Thank you for your time!

Kindest regards,

Alex

The Super Villain Archetype Test

If I were evil than who would I be???
Given the fact you don’t know me, makes this kind of sound ambiguous, right. :lol:

I probably would be the professional

The Professional is the most dangerous of all villains. You do what you do better than anyone, because, as a Professional, you have standards.

The Professional is like the Crook in that they both desire money. But the Professional wants more than that. The Professional wants job satisfaction. It isn’t sadism really, he just wants to be sure that the job is done, and done well. No hard feelings, it’s just business. Professionals prefer to work alone, but will work in groups if given incentive.

The greatest weakness of a Professional is risk. A Professional is business-like, but can’t resist a challenge. They often use the word “worthy opponent”. People like that are easily baited. And if a Professional is eventually cornered (not easy to do), they might lose it.

Sample Professionals: Deathstroke, Bullseye, Revanche

How about some Me time…

What good is an Ego; if you can’t make use of him/her?
Well… Anyone?

Your result for The Ego Test…

Mildly Egotistical

On certain occassions you definitely can be a bit egotistical. You don’t like it when some nobody cuts you off in traffic or someone comes to you with a problem that is clearly their fault in the first place. You try to stick to the facts rather than go on opinions, but you’ve been known to jump to conclusions a few times. Generally you appreciate other people’s opinions and perspectives but usually stick to your guns believing yourself to be right most of the time. Remember that the ego, and not you, takes everything personally… the person that cut you off is cutting YOU off. When in fact the person that cut you off just went around someone that was driving too slow for them… they don’t know you after all. Be careful not to let your ego take control in those moments.

Third school of Thought….

Tittle source: http://www.bassdrive.com ;-)

<Start of shameless plugging!>

Anyway I have been on my Ubuntu box for quite some time now! See post. But sometimes I do feel the need to use some windows applications. :-( (perhaps?) Like for instance a native windows installer program for my printer I just somehow can’t get to work under Ubuntu. (Lexmark x83) Believe me, or don’t?, I’ve tried.

The only working solution for now for me to boot into windows, which in my case would involve opening up my machine and switch cables. (I don’t dual boot anymore!) Therefore you might possibly conclude that this technical acrobatic style of mine isn’t something I want to repeat often. :lol:

But after some extensive research (ahem) I actually stumbled upon it while browsing through my packages. :lol: Is the Wine compatibility layer for running windows applications, as if they were native to Linux. Still it could require a lot of work to get some apps going, but even for this there is an open solution which comes with a small price. Namely the CrossOver project!

Since I am considering buying myself either a new laptop or desktop in the not so far future. I am thinking about turning pro.  That way I am able to give a little back to the community of which I have taken so much already.

<End of shameless plugging!>

ttfn,

Alex
