Terra Incognita…

As a first let me start with a nice definition of these two words and a song of course that seems to fit the bill.

For seconds: Every so now and then I have these ‘spiritual moments‘.

Anyway one of my acquaintances on myspace has this huge advertising campaign going on, for what I believe to be some sort of HINT to alternative thinking. Personally I think she overdoes it just a little bit, or she really loves the artwork? I know I do appreciate people, who have taken the effort to make them. I don’t know her that well, you know.

O.k. so when I was browsing around myself. There were two pictures, besides the ‘hundreds’ of others, that caught my eye.

The first one is very recognizable to myself. The other is kind of contradictory to me. What if she has something to say? Then why use this picture? Because when taken literally, one could easily conclude. Read me and don’t believe anything I have said to top it off. What good is that I say to myself? Because when one wants to sell a message/believe/product than one must have some credibility, right? Yeah, I really do think so!

Speaking of which, how can I ever proof that the last quote (the translated one in this case) has ever been spoken by the Great Exalted one? I don’t think I can, unless some scripture with his signature exists which would say something like I wrote this…?

So where am I going with this? Do I want to tell you something? Like that I have seen the light or something? If I did, I probably woke up with the sun shining in my face this morning and yes we are having beautiful weather over here! Do I want to tell you that I have converted to some (obscure) religion/sect?

No, none of that! To be honest I am only writing this because I want to get it of my chest! Do I believe in God or something/one similar? No, I do not. I think the idea of some Deity being the cause of life, the universe and everything else is a bit to convenient for my taste.

Does that stop me to wonder about who has put the stars/planets and all other outer worldly events in what seems to be a organized fashion? No it does not. I do think it is quite convenient that all conditions are met which concerns us humans and all other living beings on this planet to be able to ‘point and wave’ at the world around us. But isn’t that what science is for!?

To use a metaphor: Like a goldfish who realizes that he or she is in fact swimming in a bowl of whatever a goldfish thinks/feels/knows about what we define as water and complains about the poor quality of it. If a goldfish could complain that is. In short what would the universe be if there was no one there to watch/observe/enjoy/hate/love/anything (else I left out) ‘it’. I don’t, know you tell me? *Is listening to: It’s my life by – Dr Alban*

The only thing I can make out of this is the fact that I exist therefore I am …? That’s why the only (pre)mature conclusion I can make is that the only unknown factor would be me. All the rest can be categorized, labeled, made theories out off etc…

But since I need to eat sometime soon! I’ll leave it up to you dear reader to make up your own damn mind, if you’d so wish to do ponder about it?

I don’t think I have much more to add at the moment besides this little piece of text I have seen on DeviantArt. An ?user? uses this as his/her ’sticky’ when posting comments on other people’s work.

Darkness is not evil.

I’d have to agree if I am honest, but what if I am not.
